Over the past decade, the Tarnanthi Festival of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art has become one of South Australia’s most significant cultural events.
This year’s flagship exhibition, Too Deadly: Ten Years of Tarnanthi, brings together more than 200 works from past festivals, highlighting the Art Gallery of South Australia’s (AGSA) vital role in promoting and supporting First Nations art.
The Tarnanthi 2025 328-page catalogue is part retrospective and part celebration of new voices, the publication featuring essays from leading Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander academics, curators and writers reflecting on a decade of Tarnanthi, alongside insights into new projects from the 2025 state-wide festival.
The beautifully bound hardcover book, is both a stunning keepsake and a tribute to ten years of one of Australia’s most important First Nations cultural events. Newstyle Printing is privileged to have once again been selected to partner with AGSA to produce this stunning publication. The cover, printed on 150gsm gloss using 4 colour process, then case bound onto a 3000um board. The inside pages are 170gsm Sovereign Silk art, with a seal of varnish throughout.
